This past weekend more people were shot in the city of Chicago than those in the Sandy Hook school shootings  And of course, because this does not support the media’s push for more gun control they have chosen to not report it.

A bloody weekend in Chicago left at least 21 people shot and four dead in incidents from Friday afternoon through Sunday evening CBS News - Chicago reported monday.

On Sunday afternoon, five people were shot, including a 17-year-old boy, who was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital. Three people were critically wounded in a shooting in Grand Crossing, and another in the Oakland neighborhood.

At least six people were shot between Saturday and Sunday morning. A 28-year-old man, identified as Larry Randle, was killed near his home about 1 p.m. Saturday, Chicago Police said.

Police said Randle was walking when a light-colored vehicle pulled up, and two men got out and fired shots, hitting him in the back. Randle was pronounced dead at 1:35 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

So why then has the media chosen to ignore such events? Chicago has some of the most strict gun laws in the country and still remains to this day one of the most violent cities in the nation and boasts the highest murder rate. With the media constantly pushing for more gun control, this does not support their case.

It is truly simple, if people in Chicago had their second amendment right to protect themselves, crime could begin to diminish in the city. Criminals will start to realize that their victims will shoot back, but instead today, the corrupt government has left its people defenseless to criminals. What they are telling their people is that they are more scared of them having guns than them being murdered, raped, or robbed.
