The Boy Scouts have surrendered their core beliefs in exchange for political correctness and of course FEDERAL FUNDING. Being that the values taught to me by Scouting which I had to learn and exhibit to become an Eagle Scout mean very little to the Scouting organization these days, I am resigning my Eagle Scout award and returning the award to Ozarks Council today.
If you don't stand for your core beliefs, what do you stand for? What meaning does an award have if its governing body will sell out the values that come from that award for political correctness.
The Scout Law and Scout Oath is clear. Unfortunately, Scouting's governing body no longer wishes to abide by the Scout Law.
