The CBS network should apologize for a biased "60 Minutes" segment that reeked of anti-Israel "propaganda," a group of shareholders demanded at the network's annual meeting Thursday.
The Hollywood Reporter says the shareholders, who belong to a pro-Israel media watchdog group, are incensed over a segment that aired last year called "Christians of the Holy Land."
In it, reporter Bob Simon said Israelis have oppressed Christians in Bethlehem so severely their numbers have plummeted from 30,000 in 1964 to 11,000 now.
But according to Talia Shulman Gold, a member of the Boston-based CAMERA — Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America — Simon botched the numbers.
In reality, it is the Muslim majority that is persecuting Christians, she said.
